News
• The winner of our Breast Cancer Awareness Raffle is Elissa Dorsey, congratulations!  And thanks to all of you for making this event possible!  We raised close to $3000!
• The stylists attended the hair show in Ocean City and learned a myriad of new things including:
o A new cutting technique to give the hair incredible volume
o Improvements in the Bio-Ionic straightening line.  Not only are there updates in their formulations, but their dryers and irons are backed with a 5 year warranty.
o New on the Pureology hair care line and management classes.
• We had an in-house class on the new Redken Shades EQ Crème and Color Plus colors. Both lines offer rich, deep color and incredible shine, plus the formulas are rich in pomegranate oil and rice protein for superior conditioning and long-lasting color
• Sharon attended the Philadelphia International Esthetics Convention and learned a new facial lifting massage and all about peptides and epidermal growth factors in skincare.

Giving Back
• We have our annual shipment of nuts available for your holiday baking!  Proceeds go to Glenelg United Methodist Youth Group
• Maryland Food Bank is in desperate need of toiletries, so we will be making a collection all season long.  We are looking for full-sized shampoos, conditioners, bars of soap, deodorant, baby products, toothpaste, toothbrushes and whatever else you can spare.  All donations will earn you a chance in our raffle, with the price being a $200 Gift Certificate.  It pays to give!

 

Take a Moment to thank those that make your life a little bit easier.  Your babysitters, teachers, day care providers, receptionists, those people who you see everyday.  Treat them to a Redken gift set, a Gift Certificate for a manicure and haircut, or even a spa day.  Let them know you appreciate them this time of year.

Did You Know: Brittle Nails
Did you know that water can dehydrate your nails making them brittle? Lack of moisture is the culprit, water actually draws moisture from you nails and skin especially as we approach the winter months.
The Solution: Regular manicures will help restore the lost moisture and keep your hands and nails healthy.
Home Care: The use of a good quality nail oil along with a moisturizer that contains UREA is recommended. Also Biotin( a B complex) can work wonders for your hair and nails.
The use of rubber gloves when in water is your best defense.
