Gina, our licensed esthetician and cosmetologist, began her career as a freelance mkeup artist. She has worked for individual contractors doing work on TV, photography and theatre. She has done post-operative makeup after plastic surgeries, has work with Color Me Beautiful, and has done makeup for private parties. After apprenticing with Lily & Lawrence, a sister store to the famous Reginald of London for three years, she continued her training at the Peyot Institute. She continued her training and education at the Dermal Institute. Her vast experience is a valued asset at As You Like It.

Sharon, our licensed esthetician and Wellness Specialist, started with us at As You Like it in 1999.  She was Valedictorian at the presitgious Von Lee School of Esthetics, completed 80+ hours of post-graduate skin care training at the Dermal Institute and has a certificate in Natural Wellness from the Clayton College of Natural Health.  She brings the ancient Indian arts of Threading,Champissage and Kansa Facial Massage to As You Like It.

We sell only the best in skin care, Jane Iredale makeup, Hylunia & Sothys products! We also use Bioelements products in the facial room to allow us to customize the perfect facial for you!

Sandi - We pride ourselves in having Sandi as our massage therapist! She joined our team in 1999 after many years as a patron of the salon. Sandi is a registered nurse, a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and is licensed and certified by the state of Maryland. Sandi offers a variety of massages to suit your needs. She is certified in Pregnancy Massage, Aromatherapy, Reiki and Hot Stone.

Patty has been busy these past few months, learning some special design and application techniques.  She has senior certification in gel application, which allows her to be able to teach other technicians as well as provide great service to all of our clients.  She attended six workshops this year which also included acrylic application and designing nails.  Ask to see the pictures of her amazing designs so you can get that special look for a special occasion or just to make you feel great!

 

We are using many new products from international companies: LCN from Germany, Young Nails from California and Akzentz from Canada, some of the international products have been proven to work very well.

 

The salon uses the highest standards of sterilization, as many salons do not always take the proper precautions for hygiene.  It is very important for you to be aware of procedures and processes in sterilization…just ask and Patty will be happy to share our practices.

 

Patty’s expertise is in the artistry of the nail design.  She can transform even the stubbiest of nails to a beautiful expression of your personality.  Along with pedicures, manicures, light-cured gel using safe UV lighting, and other services, you can give yourself a treat!
